Terms of Service

These are the terms for working with Proof Context. We've kept them in plain language on purpose. If you sign a separate service agreement with us, that agreement wins where the two differ.

What we provide

Proof Context sets up and operates business automation for small businesses — connecting your phone, text, email, calendar, and CRM so missed leads get handled. Service starts with a booking audit, then an installation, then ongoing operation at the tier you choose.

Pricing and cancellation

Service is sold in tiers with a flat installation fee, as quoted to you in writing before any work starts.
You can cancel anytime. Monthly fees already paid for the current period aren't prorated; you simply won't be billed again.
Installation fees cover work performed and aren't refundable once installation is complete.

Your responsibilities

You authorize the channel connections we make on your behalf and confirm you have the right to grant that access for your business.
You're responsible for the lawfulness of your own business communications — including consent for any text or call campaigns under applicable telemarketing and messaging rules.
Keep your account credentials with connected platforms current; automations stop working when access is revoked or expires.

Your data

Your business data stays yours. We process it only to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. When service ends, we delete or return it within 30 days.

Text messaging (SMS) program

If you opt in on one of our forms, Proof Context sends text messages related to the service you requested — appointment confirmations, booking links, appointment reminders, replies to your questions, and occasional Proof Context offers. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply; any such charges are billed by your mobile carrier.

Opt out: text STOP at any time to cancel. After you send STOP, we'll confirm your unsubscribe and send no further messages unless you opt in again.
Help: text HELP for help at any time, or email [email protected].
Carriers: mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Age: the SMS program is intended for people 18 years of age or older.
Privacy: how we handle your phone number is described in our Privacy Policy — phone numbers collected for SMS consent are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing.

Acceptable use

Don't use the service for spam, harassment, deception, or anything illegal. If automations we operate are used that way, we can suspend service while we sort it out with you.

What we don't promise

We work to keep your automations running, but we depend on third-party platforms (telephony, email, calendar, CRM providers) we don't control. The service is provided "as is" — we don't guarantee uninterrupted operation, and we don't guarantee specific business results such as lead volume or revenue.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim arose. We're not liable for indirect or consequential damages such as lost profits.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and tell active clients before the change applies to them.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon. Disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Multnomah County, Oregon.
